Christopher White (Trailblazer), one of the original Spirits played two years with the club.  He graduated from L.C. Bird in 2015 with a 4.32 GPA and is now a freshman at Virginia Tech.  

     Chris played two years in the program as a wide receiver before taking up an interest in golf.  An outstanding student, some of his many honors, awards, and accomplishments includes the Presidential Scholars Initiative (PSI) Award Recipient (Full Academic Scholarship to attend Virginia Tech, Member of National Honor Society, and L.C. Bird’s nomination for the Harry F. Byrd Leadership Award and Scholarship.  He was nominated for the VHSL Sportsmanship Award.

     Chris stated, “These two years are irreplaceable. I gained tons of friends, got to travel out of the state and play some of the best teams across the nation, while also playing the sport that I loved. Nothing could possibly beat it.  This organization definitely helped me grow as a person on the field, in the classroom, and in life. I learned valuable lessons from this organization that I will carry on with me throughout my life.  Some of his Extracurricular Activities and/or Community Involvement were as a Namozine Volunteer Firefighter and a participant in the Good Shepherd Baptist Church Good Ground Youth Mentorship Program.  His aspirations or personal goals are to become a Biomedical Engineer and work with prosthesis.
